ACORN BOOKSHOP TO CLOSE ITS DOORS

After 25 wonderful years of serving the Central Ohio book community,  the Acorn Bookshop will be going out of business at the end of March.

It has been a wonderful, wild run through these challenging years,  competing first with the big chain bookstores such as Borders and  Barnes & Noble, followed closely by the advent of Amazon, and the  selling of books online.  We were able to make it for a quarter of a  century, and we’re very proud of that.

Beginning January 15th, we will be starting our liquidation sale, and  that’s good news for all of you, right?  From Jan. 15th to Jan. 28th, we  will be discounting all our inventory 25%.  That’s when our inventory  selection will be the best.
On February 29th, we will be selling our books at 50% off.
And on Feb. 12th, every thing will be marked down to 75% off.

And if you have store credit with us, come in and use it up now.  And  everything you buy over and above whatever your store credit is will  receive that week’s discount.

Understandably, we will no longer be buying any books from you good  folks, who have kept us supplied with the great selection we have  been known for.

We regret being the bearer of such news, but on the other hand,  here’s a great opportunity for you to come in and take advantage of  us.

Thanks again for 25 great years!

And if you get nostalgic for Acorn, watch the enjoyable movie Liberal  Arts in which the store appears in three scenes.
